Today, Henderson County Commissioner Mike Edney endorsed Western North Carolina native Wayne King in the Republican primary to replace outgoing U.S. Congressman Mark Meadows to represent North Carolina’s 11th District.

“Wayne knows and respects Henderson County, he will be there for us in Congress,” said Edney, “I personally endorse Wayne King for Congress with no reservations. I will vote for Wayne King for Congress and strongly encourage everyone else to do so.”

“I am honored to have Mike’s endorsement,” King said. “When elected to Congress, I will work tirelessly to ensure that the 11th District has a voice representing our conservative mountain values. I will proudly stand with President Donald Trump as we work to Keep America Great.”
